GSPL India Gasnet Limited (GIGL) is a joint venture company comprising of GSPL, IOCL, HPCL & BPCL; a Public Sector Undertaking as per section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013. GSPL holds 52% of total share holding while IOCL holds 26% and BPCL as well as HPCL each holds 11% shares. Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), through competitive bidding, has authorized GIGL to implement Mehsana – Bathinda pipeline project (MBPL - approx. 1830kms) and Bathinda – Jammu – Srinagar pipeline projects (BJSPL - approx. 750kms). MBPL project traverses through the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana & Punjab while BJSPL project traverses through the states of Punjab and J&K. GIGL has designed and engineered it’s projects in accordance with requirement of applicable codes and standards which will enable MBPL to transport approx. 45 MMSCMD of gas initially and subsequently volumes will be ramped up to 73 MMSCMD over the years from Mehsana (Gujarat) to Bhatinda (Punjab) while BJSPL has been designed to transport approx. 31 MMSCMD initially from Bathinda (Punjab) to Jammu (J&K) with a view to cater gas demands of various industrial consumers & city gas distribution networks in the State of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana ,Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. GIGL gas grid will be equipped with dedicated Optical Fibre Cable Network with 3 tier redundant Telemetry systems and modern State-of-the-art Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system along with other high end reliable automation system enabling remote Operations, Monitoring and Control for this cross country Pipeline from Gandhinagar, Bhatinda or Jammu.
